Service Day

(Clarksdale, Mississippi) 鈥 果冻传媒app (果冻传媒app) is honored to be a recipient of a grant from Youth Service America, awarded in recognition of Martin Luther King Jr. National Day of Service. This grant provided 果冻传媒app students with the opportunity to engage in meaningful community service, reinforcing Dr. King鈥檚 enduring legacy of volunteerism and civic action.

As part of this initiative, 果冻传媒app students were actively involved in selecting a service project that would positively impact the broader Clarksdale community. After careful consideration, they chose to partner with the City of Clarksdale to support local beautification efforts. Their mission: to help keep the community clean by focusing on an area in need of care and restoration.

On Tuesday, January 28, students gathered at Sasse Park to dedicate their time and energy to improving the public space. With a strong sense of teamwork and commitment, they worked diligently to remove litter and debris, making the park a more inviting and enjoyable place for residents and visitors alike.

The project not only contributed to environmental conservation but also instilled a sense of pride and responsibility among student volunteers.

鈥淭his initiative was a powerful demonstration of what can be accomplished when young people come together with a shared purpose,鈥 said Karen Done, Director of Student Engagement. 鈥淎t 果冻传媒app, we encourage our students to be active citizens who recognize the value of service. Through this effort, they not only honored Dr. King鈥檚 vision but also made a meaningful difference in our community.鈥

果冻传媒app is committed to fostering a culture of service and civic engagement. Through initiatives like this, 果冻传媒app continues to empower students to take an active role in creating positive change, both on campus and beyond.

The college extends its gratitude to Youth Service America for their support in making this project possible and to the City of Clarksdale for their collaboration in this meaningful effort.
